    Clint Carlson

    President & Chief Investment Officer

    Mr. Carlson founded Carlson Capital in 1993. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Portfolio/Risk Committee. Mr. Carlson is responsible for leading all aspects of investment strategy and portfolio management at the firm. He also leads the monitoring and execution of the Firm’s risk management processes. For five years prior to founding Carlson Capital, Mr. Carlson was Head of Risk Arbitrage for the investment arm of the Bass Brothers organization. Before joining the Bass organization, Mr. Carlson co-managed a risk arbitrage fund for Maxxam Group and affiliated companies. Mr. Carlson received a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Rice University and a law degree from the University of Houston. He is a Board Member of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

  • Travis Goldammer

    Travis Goldammer

    Partner & Chief Operating Officer

    Mr. Goldammer joined Carlson Capital in 1998 and is the Chief Operating Officer. He is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee, Management Committee, and Portfolio/Risk Committee. Mr. Goldammer leads the teams that comprise Accounting, Legal/Compliance, Information Technology and Trading. Prior to serving as COO, he served as the Firm’s head of global trading. Prior to joining Carlson Capital, Mr. Goldammer was a NASDAQ market maker with Nesbitt Burns Securities Inc. Mr. Goldammer received his B.S. in finance from Texas Christian University.

Summer Internship Program

Carlson Capital’s summer internship program is open to first year MBA candidates interested in a career in investment management. Applications for candidates to participate in the upcoming summer program are reviewed in December. At the end of the internship program candidates are formally reviewed and considered for full-time hiring based on performance and manager need.

Investment Team

Carlson Capital offers full-time employment to both talented recent graduates and experienced investment professionals. Positions within portfolio management, research, trading and risk management may become available throughout the year and hiring is generally based on need.

Business Team

Carlson Capital accepts applications on an on-going basis for experienced professionals across accounting, tax, operations, legal, compliance, technology, investor relations and administration. Hiring is based on need.
